Historical-geographical region Khevsureti is located in the mountainous part of Eastern Georgia.  It is distinguished by the diversity of nature and unique architecture. A fortress village Shatili is a UNESCO World Heritage site and Mutso is on the UNESCO list of candidates. The oldest traditions and ancient pagan and religious rituals that are not forgotten by local residents are best preserved in Khevsureti. Khevsur cuisine and the unique beer brewing technique are worth of special mentioning.
